RIMPRO WAX AO is white Flakes with a faint characteristic odour.

Example of Use

The product is a nonionic, self emulsifying base with consistency giving properties. It is suited for the preparation of cosmetic O/W lotions and creams.

RIMPRO WAX AO is a self-emulsifying cream base. This almost odorless, white flake product is suited for the preparation of creams and ointments as well as liquid emulsions of the oil-in-water type. Owing to its non-ionic and highly skin-compatible emulsifier nature, neutral, non-irritant emulsions can be formulated in combination with oily components such as Decyl Oleate, Cetearyl Isononanoate type product, Caprylic/Capric Triglyceride, Octyl Dodecanol, Isopropyl Myristate and Isopropyl Palmitate as super fatting agents.

Depending on the purpose of application, the dose varies according to the other components of the formulation. Normally, 8–10% of the product is needed to obtain creamy structures.

RIMPRO WAX AO is melted at approx. 70–80°C with, e.g., Decyl Oleate, Cetearyl Isononanoate, Caprylic/Capric Triglyceride, Octyl Dodecanol or other vegetable, animal and mineral oils. The necessary water phase, at the same temperature, is added to the fat phase while stirring. The emulsion is stirred until it cools — the perfume oil is added at a temperature below 40°C — and, if necessary, the emulsion is homogenized by machine.
